Morning Routine for Success

Morning Routine for Success

"The early bird catches the worm." Often an unpopular phrase to which most of us have probably rolled our eyes at, especially at a young age!

But as we got older, many of us have realized that there are many reasons we want to be the early bird. The worm is not only a prize for the bird but a necessity. There just doesn't seem to be enough time to get to everything with our hectic schedules.

Setting the alarm for a bit earlier and getting a headstart on the day, means we can get so much more done, but in a less frenzied way.

By waking up earlier, you are already halfway there. But how you spend the first few hours of your morning can significantly impact how the rest of the day will pan out.

Having a morning routine can set you up for efficiency, productivity, time-saving, and a boost of energy for the rest of the day.

A 2008 study published in The Journal of General Psychology found that early risers are less prone to procrastinating than their night owl counterparts. No wonder many successful people throughout history are early birds and have set morning routines.

In this video, Apple CEO Tim Cook mentions that he rises at 3:45 a.m. to go through email before hitting the gym. Richard Branson from the Virgin Group wakes at around 5 a.m. but admits that it is a habit you must work on maintaining.
